Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Couplehood ("the Service") you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

Not therapy, not emergency care

Couplehood is a reflective tool that uses an AI advisor trained on a range of psychological and spiritual frameworks. It is not a substitute for licensed therapy, medical care, or emergency services. Nothing the AI says is a diagnosis, prescription, or treatment plan.

If you are in crisis, having thoughts of suicide or self-harm, in an unsafe situation, or experiencing a mental health emergency, please call or text 988 (US) or your local emergency number. You can also reach the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Couplehood and you confirm that you are by creating an account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service to harass or abuse a real person; impersonate someone else; use the Service to plan harm to yourself or others; reverse engineer or scrape the Service; or upload malicious files. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.

Subscription & billing

Paid plans renew automatically each month at the price shown in the plan. You can change or cancel your plan from your account at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep access until then. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial months unless required by law.

Promotional or complimentary plans may be granted at our discretion and may be revoked at any time.

Refund policy

If something has gone wrong with your subscription within 14 days of a charge, contact info@couplehood.org and we'll review the situation in good faith.

Your content

You own everything you write. You grant us a limited license to process that content for the sole purpose of providing the Service to you (including sending it to our AI provider). We do not use your content to train models, sell it, or share it for advertising.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its name, logo, design, and code, is owned by Couplehood. The AI's responses are produced for you and you may use them freely; please don't republish them as if they were independently authored editorial content.

Disclaimers & liability

The Service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to the Service or these terms

We may update the Service over time. If we make material changes to these terms, we'll notify registered users by email and update the date at the top of this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
